Dr. Lorrie Bartloff, DVM Dr. Lorrie is the full time veterinarian and the owner of the Clayview Animal Clinic . She is a 1995 graduate of Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She currently lives in Berrien Springs, MI with her husband, daughter, and son. She enjoys boating, motorcycle riding, watching hockey, and working at Clayview.

Raylena Smith, Registered Veterinary Technician Raylena graduated from Brown Mackie College with an associate's degree and joined our team in December 2010. She enjoys working with pets because she believes that animals deserve good health care too!

Emily Nichols, Veterinary Receptionist Emily is a native of Bellefontaine, Ohio and joined Clayview in the spring of 2004. She now calls South Bend home with her husband, Matt, and all her pets. Emily enjoys spending time with her family which includes her sisters, Sarah and Megan; brother, Larry; nephews, Dalton & Marek; and nieces, Addison, Ryleigh, & Peyton. She is expecting another nephew in May of 2012. Emily enjoys working with pets because it's very rewarding and their little kisses and wags mean so much. Pets put a smile on her face no matter what type of day she is having. Emily's hobbies include, running, dancing, playing guitar, playing with her doggies, and watching football.

Alicia Sirovica, Veterinary Receptionist
Alicia joined our team in late summer of 2008. She lives in Niles with her three loving animals. She is currently attending Southwestern Michigan College to attain a degree in General Studies. Alicia enjoys working with pets because they have a huge impact on human lives. They need people to vouch for them and understand when they can't speak for themselves. They also makes our lives much more enjoyable! Alicia's hobbies include watching movies, bowling, taking photographs, spending time outdoors in the warm months, spending time with friends and loving her family!

Kristi Gerdes, Veterinary Receptionist Kristi is originally from Woodstock IL and has been a part of our team since 2001. She now lives in Niles, MI with her husband, Brian, daughter, Kendall, and son, Collin. Kristi enjoys working with pets because it is rewarding to know you help make a difference and they are all so cute. Kristi's hobbies include traveling, the outdoors, and playing with her children.

Megan Barcus, Veterinary Assistant Megan is originally from Bellefontaine, Ohio and joined our team in summer of 2007. She currently lives in Osceola, IN with her new husband. Megan enjoys working with pets because she loves to take care of them and help them. They put a smile on her face no matter what mood she's in. Megan's hobbies includes working out and spending time with friends and family. Megan is expecting her first child in May of 2012.

Betty Goodin, Veterinary Receptionist Betty lives in South Bend, IN and has 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Betty enjoys working with pets because she has always enjoyed their companionship, loyalty, and friendship. Her pets are her best friends. Betty's hobbies include spending time with her grandchildren and dogs, knitting, crocheting, gardening, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Michelle Serry, Veterinary Assistant Michelle became a member of our team in Spring 2008. Michelle lives in New Carlisle with her mom, dad, and 3 sisters. She enjoys working with pets because she has always lived on a farm and likes to help animals. Michelle's hobbies includes cooking, gardening, and horseback riding.

Samantha Haines, Kennel Asistant
Samantha has been a part of our team since the fall of 2008. Sam lives in Niles, Michigan with her parents. She is currently attending Southwestern Michigan College. Sam enjoys working with pets because she really cares for them and loves to take care of them. Sam's hobbies include working, school, friends and shopping.

Lisa Thompson, Veterinary Student Lisa grew up in Niles, MI and received her BS in Animal Science from Andrews University in 2007. She joined the team at Clayview in April 2006. She is currently living in Roseville Minnesota and attending the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Lisa graduates from veterinary school in May 2012 and will be returning to Clayview as an associate veterinarian. She has a strong interest in emergency/urgent care medicine and small ruminants & camelids. Lisa enjoys caring for pets and seeing pets living longer, healthier, and happier lives. She hopes to strengthen the human-animal bond for her clients and patients. Lisa's hobbies include reading, running, watching movies, 4-H leader, working on her family farm, and spending time with her friends & family (including her new niece!). Lauren Veatch, Veterinary Student Lauren received her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from IUSB and is currently attending St George University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Lauren plans to return to Clayview after graduation as an associate veterinarian. She will be spending time at Clayview gaining experience when she is home on school breaks. Lauren has a strong interest in animal behavior and training. She loves to care for pets and see them go home with their family happy & healthy after an illness or injury. Her hobbies include riding & training horses, dog obedience, flying airplanes & hanging out with friends and family.

Laura Van Scarborough, Registered Veterinary Technician Laura went to Brown Mackie and graduated in May 2010. She started working at Clayview Animal Clinic in March 2011. She enjoys music, playing guitar, singing, and writing songs. She is currently involved in a local cover band called, "Cousin Vinny." She is interested in autism research, Best Friend's Animal Sanctuary, and vegetarian cooking.
