Surgery and Anesthesia
Our surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures including routine spay/neuters, declaws, tumor removals, hernia repairs and more complex procedures. We operate with laser surgery to reduce pain, swelling, and bleeding associated with the procedure. Learn more about laser surgery!
We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide that extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high risk patients. Our focus is on providing safe anesthesia and pain management for every veterinary procedure. Pre-operative blood testing and examination allows us to specifically tailor anesthesia to your pet needs. A highly skilled veterinary technician or surgical assistant monitors your pet’s vital signs before the procedure, during the procedure, and throughout recovery. We closely monitor temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, EtCO2 (measurement of respiratory gases), pulse oximetry (measurement of oxygen in the blood), and EKG.
We understand that surgery and anesthesia can be a source of anxiety for pet owners. Let us address any concerns you may have about any procedure your pet needs.
